The Don Bosco Journalism Association (DJA), in collaboration with the Photography Club of Don Bosco Arts & Science College, celebrated World Radio Day on February 13, 2026. The programme was organised to highlight the significance of radio as a powerful medium of communication, entertainment, and public awareness. As part of the celebration, an exciting RJ Hunt competition was conducted to identify talented and creative radio presenters among students. Participants showcased their voice modulation, presentation skills, spontaneity, and communication abilities, reflecting the spirit of radio broadcasting.

The Don Bosco Journalism Association (DJA), in collaboration with the Photography Club and Film Club of Don Bosco Arts & Science College, celebrated National Cinema Day ILLUMINARE 2025 on September 19, 2025. As part of the celebration, various competitions were organised, including Film Poster Making Competition, Film Music Competition, Film Quiz, and Debate Competition, which witnessed active participation from students across departments. A special film screening was also conducted as part of the celebration, offering students an opportunity to experience and appreciate meaningful cinema together.

As part of the celebration, competitions such as Photography Competition, Photo Editing Competition, and Photo Caption Writing Competition were organised. PIXEL QUEST 2025 successfully inspired students to appreciate photography as both an art form and a powerful communication tool, while also promoting creativity, observation, and media skills among participants.

The Don Bosco Journalism Association (DJA), in collaboration with the Photography Club of Don Bosco Arts & Science College, organised ECO FRAME 2025 on June 5, 2025 in celebration of World Environment Day. The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to express their concern for nature through creative media activities.

As part of the celebration, competitions such as E-Poster Designing and Photography Competition were conducted. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents while spreading awareness about the importance of conserving the environment.

The Don Bosco Journalism Association (DJA), in collaboration with the Photography Club and Malayalam Debate Club of Don Bosco Arts & Science College, celebrated National Press Day on November 13, 2024, under the theme INK & INSIGHT. The programme was organised to highlight the importance of press freedom, responsible journalism, and effective communication in society.

As part of the celebration, various competitions including E-Poster Designing, News Anchoring Competition, and Elocution Competition were conducted. The programme served as a platform to encourage critical thinking, communication skills, and appreciation for the role of journalism in a democratic society.

Don Bosco Journalism Association conducts the major attraction of the Department of Journalism is DISC (Don Bosco International Silverscreen Carnival), a mega national campus film festival that screens 40 world classics and conducts exciting competitions: Short films, Film Quiz, Television Anchoring, Television News Presentation, Photography and Film Review.
